About

Matthew (Matt) Russell is a photographer living in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE). Most of his work these days originates from Teton County, Wyoming and Teton County, Idaho. Locals often refer to this area as Wydaho. His photography work during the winter is focused in or in the vicinity of Grand Teton National Park (GTNP), with an emphasis on winter life or survival. It also presents the Matt the opportunity to showcase the Grand Tetons and surrounding areas during winter. During the summer months, Matt can often be found on his horse, with camera in tow enjoying the solitude of the surrounding wilderness areas.

The photographs that you see here are typically printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag or Hahnemuhle Fineart Baryta paper for black white photographs (silver gelatins upon special request), while color prints are printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag or Fuji Flex paper. Matt offers both open edition prints and limited edition prints, to suit the desires of his collectors. All prints are for sale, even if you don’t see the print you desire in my store, as there is a technical problem with Square Space’s software and I am unable to post square or vertical formats. So please feel free to contact me about any order you may wish to place.
